Walmart’s HBCU
Makers Studio
We created HBCU Sounds, a space where students could immerse themselves in music by HBCU alumni. At the heart of the experience was our Makers Studio table, where guests could choose a T-shirt and customize it with unique pins and patches. Complementing the music, we designed empowering posters celebrating the Black community, giving guests a meaningful keepsake to take home. The experience was elevated by special appearances from celebrities like @serayah and Grammy-winning Hall of Fame songwriter @jermainedupri.

Walmart’s HBCU
Makers Studio
In celebration of diverse Black identities, Walmart tasked us with creating an experiential activation for the HBCU community as part of their Black & Unlimited Campaign at The Big Homecoming Music Festival. We designed four interactive maker corners showcasing Black-owned businesses, where guests could listen to records from HBCU alumni, customize posters and T-shirts, sample Jermaine Dupri‘s vegan ice cream, and explore a variety of Black-owned beauty brands.
Special visits from celebrities like @serayah and Grammy-award winning and Hall of Fame songwriter, @jermainedupri.
